Rock 4 Autism raises over £200
12/03/2012We recently mentioned that we were supporting a rock music event to raise much needed funds for Autism Anglia.
Well, on Saturday night we rocked the night away along with Chieftains players and fans at Chelmsford Social Club and raised just over £200 thanks to people's generosity.
The evening was headlined by Scooby, a fantastic rock covers band. The Essex based rockers belted out some rock classics from the 60's to present day. Artists on the band's playlist included The Rolling Stones, Oasis, Killers, Kings of Leon and Muse to name but a few.
Supporting on the night was young Harry Ca$h a local talent who is gaining some great reviews at open mic nights around the county. He kindly donated some of his CD's for the raffle - thanks Harry!
Both the acts did a fantastic job of providing a great soundtrack to the evening and even got a few people out on the dancefloor!
The beer flowed and everyone had a great night while raising money for our charity.
Details of some of the great work that the charity does can be found on their website.
On behalf of Grants SEAT we would all like to thank Andy Driver for his hard work in single handedly organising this event.
