Grants run for charity

05/10/2011
Danbury Dash 2011

A group of willing volunteers from Grants SEAT got up early on Sunday 25th September to take part in the Danbury Dash on behalf of Autism Anglia.

This was the first ever exclusive running event for Autism Anglia and consisted of a 10k and 5k run, with other activites available such as archery, an obstacle course and a family fun day.

Everyone joined together with their friends and families at the Danbury Outdoors Centre on a beautiful warm sunny day to help raise money for this fantastic cause and one that is close to our hearts.

The multi-terrain course, tracking through grass and woodland has been praised by participants - it really was a lovely setting for an early morning run!

Event organiser Claire Rodie said: "Well done to everyone who took part.  We have been overwhelmed with the support we've had for this event in its first year, and we hope to be back next year even bigger and better!"

"I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along, including our volunteers who made sure the day went smoothly".

Donations are still coming in but the event is set to raise in the region of £1,000.
