Grants back in the driving SEAT with Chieftains

We are delighted to announce that we are to be the Chelmsford Chieftains main sponsor again for the 2011-12 season.

Last year was a great success and we all worked really well together helping to raise the profile of the club and our association with it.  The involvement with Autism Anglia was a unique partnership bringing three very different groups together but sharing a common goal.  We are over the moon that Chieftains have chosen Autism Anglia as their charity again for next season.

Chieftains owner, Derek Bartlett, was equally pleased at having us back on board and said "Having a sponsor like Grants on board signals our intent to be at the top end of the table again and pushing for silverware.  Grants were very supportive of the team last year and we're really pleased to have them back with us.  Their support, along with other sponsors, is invaluable in a sport like ours and it shows how we're growing as a club that major sponsors like Grants are willing to work with us for multiple seasons.  We had lots of fun last season with the different initiatives we partnered up on such as our mascot Frizzy Bear being out in Chelmsford town centre with Grants representatives, the different giveaways and competitions we ran on match nights and culminating in almost giving away a brand new car"! 

Derek went on to say, "The support we gave Autism Anglia cannot be forgotten and we're delighted to be supporting them again this season.  The work they do for those suffering and affected by autism in the region is fantastic and we're happy to support their work and look forward to having them at games again this season".

We are not just interested in the commercial opportunity - Ice Hockey may be a niche sport but we challenge anyone to come along and not get totally hooked!  We are all converts and the sponsorship arrangement is not just about providing much needed funds, for us it is a relationship where we can help and support each other which is why we come to as many games as we can.

On behalf of everyone at Grants we would like to thank everyone involved with the Chieftains including their loyal supporters for making us feel so welcome last season and we are really looking forward to doing it all again this season!
