Over the last month or so the motoring press have gone Eco mad over the SEAT Ecomotive range and we thought we'd tell you all about it!
Auto Trader said Ibiza Ecomotive is the cheapest used green car around
The previous-generation Ibiza Ecomotive is the cheapest conventionally powered used 'green' car around, Auto Trader has announced. Auto Trader praised the car for its affordability, 'fresh' looks and range of standard equipment that includes air conditioning and CD player.
CO2 emissions of just 99g/km mean Ibiza Ecomotive drivers do not pay road tax, while its 1.4 litre diesel engine helps it achieve 88mpg and reach a top speed of 100mph. Click here to read the full article.
Ibiza TSI beats green rivals in Auto Express group test
The Ibiza 5dr 1.2 TSI SE has beaten two close rivals - the new Honda Jazz 1.3 HE Hybrid and Skoda Fabia 1.2 TDI GreenLine ll - in Auto Express's group test of green superminis.
The punchy 1.2-litre turbocharged four-cyclinder petrol engine is key to the SEAT's appeal. Add in tidy handling, a straightforward cabin and competitive price, and it's a clear winner.
Autocar praises Leon Ecomotive's "wallet-friendly" running costs
Auto car has praised one of the newest members of its long-term fleet, the Leon Ecomotive, for its fuel-sipping economy. Tester Mark Tisshaw said: "It is on the motorway runs where the Leon is in its element; the 1.6 TDI engine is as its smoothest, quietest and most efficient when spinning at motorway speeds."
Tisshaw has been similarly impressed by the quality of the Leon Ecomotive's interior: "I've quickly found a comfortable driving position too. It's rare to find pedals so well spaced and with footrests either side for cruise control-powered motorway runs."
