Grants help raise £2,400 for Charity
31/05/2011Autism Anglia's seventh Charity Golf Day took place on Friday 13th May 2011 at the Essex Golf & Country Club near Colchester, and raised more than £2,400 for the charity!
Last year's winners, The Old Codgers, playing for Grants returned to defend their title, and many regular teams and some new faces provided excellent competition.
We offered a brand new SEAT Ibiza for anyone scoring a hole-in-one on the 11th hole! Despite many valiant efforts, the prize remained out of reach... for now at least!
The winning team were Peerless Europe Ltd who scored 105 points! Their team member Julian Hill also won the best individual stableford score of 39 points, so very much a force to be reckoned with!
Congratulations also to the Old Codgers who became runners up with 100 points (OCB) and third place went to V&B Sultans of Swing, also with 100 points.
Winner of Nearest the Pin AND Straightest Drive was Graham Doherty from C H Lindsey, Longest Drive was won by Shaun Mills from Royal Bank of Scotland, and Nearest the Pin in Two was won by Julian Lamb from Rose Builders 1.
Congratulations to all the winners, and well done to everyone who took part!
All teams enjoyed breakfast and 18 holes of golf, followed by an afternoon buffet and barbeque, competitions, prize-giving and raffle.
