SEAT reveals stunning IBX

11/03/2011

SEAT has unveiled its latest concept car - the IBX - at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

This stunning urban sports utility vehicle (SUV) concept combines SEAT's powerful and sporty design with a self-confident look and distinctive proportions.

Its drive would come from an advanced hybrid powertrain that combines zero-emissions electromobility in the city with the extensive cross-country range of an internal combustion engine.

The IBX demonstrates the evolutionary development of SEAT's new design language - which was first seen in last year's IBE concept - in a completely different vehicle architecture: an exciting crossover between SUV and sports coupe.

"With the IBX, we are once again demonstrating just how intensively we are working on the renewal of the SEAT brand, and how determind we are to develop for the future," said James Muir, President of SEAT SA.

"The IBX represents the values of the SEAT brand perfectly - with its unique design, its youthful energy and its outstanding sustainability as a result of its hybrid drive concept.  Even though a decision has yet to be taken, we could certainly envisage the IBX as a future expansion of our product portfolio."

Keep an eye out for any new developments on this exciting concept car.
