Autism Anglia

At the very inception of this business there was a desire to ensure we existed not just as a commercial operation but as part of the community and something that could “give back” in a worthwhile and meaningful way and to do this we chose to support Autism Anglia.

Autism Anglia is a registered charity (1063717) based in Colchester and covering the entire Anglia region and provides various types of support to individuals and families who live with Autism and Autistic Spectrum Disorders. So why Autism Anglia?

My son Grant, who now lives in Yorkshire, was diagnosed as autistic in 1995 and through his early years the specialist understanding required to help people with this type of condition was fundamental to his development as a young man. At the time I lived in Kent but I recall vividly every person that helped Grant and how much they cared about their role in the education, development and growth of my son. The dedication, commitment and patience of those people sticks with me today and I can think of no better charity to support than this one.

We have committed not only money to Autism Anglia but also our time and effort in helping them raise funds and develop opportunities for the young people that they support. In 2010 we have committed to donate £10 for every new car we sell, have provided funds for things like touch screen monitors and organised events to raise awareness of the charity in the local community.
